Pretty nice job tho.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

LOL, read the authors comments and you probably won't say GROWP RAWR H4X0R3S Ay more. XD

Wee.

Pretty good. Cm, my favorite. xD.

A very nice progression, although not really classical.

Entertaining nonetheless. Some nice transitions of mood in there.

Fifen.

Thnx for showing it to me early, makes me feel special. xD

MaestroRage responds:

quite welcome MJTTOMB! Thanks for your honest feedback. I didn't have the energy to go through it all like we had discussed so I made some adjustments here and there melodically and wrapped it up. I don't want this taking up any more time, it's been over a year already >:(

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Stolen.

Funny how this appears in bot arena 3, a game released... oh, say... 2 months ago?

Think before you steal, you prick.

owner232 responds:

dont be stupid fl studio has preloaded packs that has this sound in it... its not stollen this one was made by me but the main sound wasnt ,.!.,-_-,.!.,

Aww, not for me?

Pretty good, I see nothing wrong.

It's a little to long for mah little attention span. xD

Great job, congrats on weekly top 5.

Prepare for a surge of fans, mate. :D

MusicalRocky responds:

No it's for Winter cause he expressly begged me to put it in Cm. So yeah.

Hahah then how do you listen to like...Beethoven's symphonies? (like the 9th?)

Thanks man, I didn't even notice till you just told me. : D

Rocky

So-so.

Melodically, it was pretty good, but harmonically, it was quite off. Watch your bassline, there are a bunch of minor 2nd intervals that don't fit. The drums were good, and everything else was as well, but the bass was off.

Also, the ending was very abrupt.

You could use some better samples, but a live recording of this would sound nice.

Make sure you read up on the rules for creating chord progressions as well.

Anyways, nice job, keep up the good work. ;)

Regards, MJTTOMB

RockAndRollGenie responds:

I agree that the ending is too abrupt, and I realized this at 2 in the morning after I put this up. But in terms of the 'rules of chord progression' I don't particularly want to deal with those. Rules are limits and limits prevent sounds. Jazz did it. But then they made Jazz standard movements, and the standards bore me. If you take something normal, and change it to add an air of sophistication, you can still get your point across and have something that you can call 100% original. In terms of the bassline, the 2nds were on purpose. I really like the minor 2nd.

Good, well... great, but...

I found it very hard to pick out any main theme, nor could I distinguish any sections, so I still can't really identify it as sonata form :/

Either way, it was still very beautifully written, you worked counterpuntal harmonies flawlessly in and out. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Esn responds:

Well, I'm using "sonata" in the original sense of "a piece which is played" (as opposed to "cantata", a piece which is sung), not in the sense of "sonata form" (this is certainly not sonata form). Although to be honest, I simply wasn't sure what else to call it. It's not exactly a fugue, except in one small section. Hey, if you have any suggestions for what else to call it, I'm all ears. :p

Yes, it was the point for there not to be any main theme; I tried to have all of the 4 voices have about equal importance, so neither one would be too dominant for any great length of time. However, there most definitely are different sections. Listen again. :) There is an "A" section in C major, followed by a "B" section in A minor, followed by a repeat of the "A" section, which goes to a Coda to conclude the piece.

Thank you for your review.

Brilliant.

"and a bit of heavy guitar..."
Well damn, there goes my idea of using an orchestra. lol.

oh well, I guess I'll have to go destroy one of my own piano pieces with an orchestra. Shouldn't be too hard. meh. xD

Anyways, you did a brilliant job.

Regards, MJTTOMB

lol, I just saw this!

Man, the original composer must be a genius or something. xD

Anyway, thanks for remixing at least part of it. You did a great job with it too. :)

Regards, MJTTOMB

Momo-the-Monkey responds:

I actually remixed all of it, I just didn't submit the parts I didn't need. I should submit it with drums.
Thanks!

Hey.

I don't know how much you care, I don't know if you've listened to any of my stuff, but I'd just like to say thanks for being an inspiration in a way. Many of my piano pieces are written in a style I developed while listening to some of your pieces.

Your voice is very beautiful, by the way. My only quarrel is the chorusing at the beginning. It sounds quite odd for a minute there. Also, your emotion can kind of obscure the words. At on point, when you sing "do you feel safer", you placed a small "n" in front of "do". Other than that, you did a brilliant job. I'm glad you bring so much joy to so many people. Hopefully one day I'll get there too.

Anyway, Thanks for reading. I'd really appreciate a response, regardless of how short, so I can know you took a few seconds to read this. ;)
