Sick.

The only downside is the sound of a brilliant opera singer singing heavy metal.

Generally, you want to have a raspy voice for this kind of genre, and you and I are both trained to sing through the diaphragm, so achieving that effect is all but impossible through singing with your throat.

This would be great screamo music, if you had a good screamer.

And don't take my comments to mean iI don't like your voice, it's brilliant, BUT, people like us who are trained in opera and stuff generally can't sing these genres as effectively as someone who's been around this type of music forever.

Now now, MJTTOMB... Times are changing, m'love. There are other metal bands that do the exact same. A really good example is Nightwish. I've heard Transiberian Orchestra do it too. It's a new generation! Time to mix and mingle the old with the new a little bit, and create something completely original for the audience. Screamers and raspy voices are so... clichè.. ^_^ Anyway, thank you for listening.

Brilliant!

From a listener's perspective, it's flawless, but from a critic's perspective, I'd like to make a few suggestions. Namely, is the realism. I'm not terribly concerned about this, as it doesn't effect the sound of the song at all, but if you ever wanted this played live, it would be fatal. Bell ensembles usually stick to a few notes, yet there are quite a few key changes, and this could lead to the need of an unrealistically large ensemble. Also, in terms of parts, i feel the harp may feel a little left out. The harp is stuck playing arpeggios for the entire piece, and I thing a harpist would appreciate something that resembles the beautiful melody you've created. Also, towards the end, I hate the fadeout! It needs a solid ending! This song is far too well-structured to end with a fadeout! I personally think the F that the higher strings are holding should resolve to an Eb at the very last couple measures, and then you should end on a F major chord.

I don't meant to write it for you, because this is beyond my level of compositional prowess, but those are just a couple things i had to mention in hopes you could work on it.

Instead of handbells, I used a Celeste to play diverse notes (Don't get them confused with one another.) I only kept the handbells playing repetitive simple notes. I would not allow myself to be foolish with music, and I'm not gonna do it here.

About the harp.. I don't know how harpists think, therefore I am not.

About the ending, I've never been good with these. The ending is always my weakest link and I hate to say it, but I don't think I'll ever change from this stance. The fade out was just an idea that popped in my head from nowhere, and I just wanted to see what response it would bring.

Really crappy sound quality.

Your instruments, to put it bluntly, absolutely suck. They sound like cats dying in different keys. If you get some better instruments, it my sound better.

I don't know who in their right mind would use this in a project.

I mean, it's actually pretty decent, but the dissonance coming in at 0:40 sounds really bad. A general rule of thumb for classical music in terms of chord movements is up by seconds, fourths, and fifths, and down by thirds.

Anyway, just get some better instruments and it'll sound a lot less painful on the ears.

This piece is divine. I'm so grateful that you're back, I only wish I'd come across this a week ago.

The duduk was absolutely outstanding. I loved it. I feel there are sections where you could have made use of what i showed you about arpeggios to good effect, but it's your piece, not mine.

The piano was a little too sparse for my liking, but I still love it. It could have used more left hand.

Dude, starting at 3:17, I can hear a really sweet almost-triplet arpeggio. But yeah. I'll have to show you that. If i can manage to get the tempo down, i may just add my little edits and send it to you sometime.

Anyways, brilliant work.

Amazed.

Lol. The intro sounds like some really screwed up form of disco, but it's still really amazing as an intro. You did a very professional job with the mastering, and the playing was also seemingly flawless. The first few measures of the actual song sound kinda irish in nature, actually. The drums are amazing, though. My only suggestion would be to add a hookline (short little melody) that gives the listener something to get attached to. I know you've got a bunch of lines, but none of them really function as standalone melodies that you could imagine yourself humming as you walked down the street. Many of the features of this song are part of a Major musical composition i have to do for my HSC. So im working hard to include a melody, its hard in the intro progression because of the nature of the decension. But the 12/8 section should have a melody thats carried out further in the song.

On for my review of the music, it was great, being my main impression. Sounds almost exactly like a song from a pokemon game, if only you had it in 8-bit sound. :P The harmonics really are great. The only downside is that it feels like a theme and variations piece. The mood never really changes, and that could be bringing down the piece. In classical music, there's generally a B theme that contrasts with the A theme by being in a different key and being in a different mood. Normally when I write in a major key, I tend to write the B section in minor. That way it is like a good novel. It can't be happy the entire way through. There's got to be a "bad guy", or some problematic situation at some point so that the lead character can overcome it.At the end you should probably re-enter the A section, with the original melody in the original key, and that's pretty much all my suggestions.

The orchestration is absolutely ingenious, so I can't really give all too much information on that.

Great job. I'd be honored if you came to my page and checked out some of my stuff.

Nice.

I'm noticing it gets a little boring after about 2 minutes or so. A little change would be good. The beat's nice, a little ghetto for a white boy like myself. It picks up and gets a little interesting after about another minute. It's a good ambient track. It could use a melody, but for ambient, apparently your specialty, it's pretty good. 9/10, 5/5. Above average work, mate.

Very nice.

Really great use of counterpoint. I only wish I had the knowledge of species counterpoint to pull something like this off. I feel damn sorry for anyone who has to play this, they must have like 4 hands. :P

Great work, mate. Keep it up.

Although, on a historical note, scherzos weren't really around in the baroque days, methinks. Regardless, it's great.
