Hey jeff.

Tis native. I thought you said ng sucked. XP.

Very relaxing.

The only problem was the extreme repetitiveness. Otherwise, everything was fine.

TheJeffKiller responds:

And your sh*tty ass songs aren't repetitive!? Native please...

Good!

Very good. AND YOU ADDED DRUM ROLLS! WOOOHOO!!!!

Damn man, that's beautiful.

10s across the board.

4/5 only because if I gave you a 5/5, it would attract zerovoters.

Bosa responds:

Indeed, thanks.

Amazing.

I'm so freaking jealous of you.

Anyway, 5/5. Great job.

Pretty good.

Just a few suggestions:

Harmony. Sometimes having quite a few instruments on one melody can sound good, but here it gets a little tiring, for lack of a better word. Adding little differences between the violin section and flute/piccolo thing (whatever it is, you get the picture i think.)

Percussion. A good percussion section would do wonders here. Not to say it needs a constant beat going, simply a cymbal crash at the beginning of every other measure or so, and then a light drum roll about a half note later would sound good.

Keep up the good work.

Now for the review.

Originality: Completely original as far as I can see. Sounds a bit like the Star Wars theme or something for a second there. Haha. 10.

Diversity: Repetitive, yet only moderately, so it's ok. 9.

Clarity: The flute/piccolo thing sounds a little wierd on the lower notes. Maybe try transposing that back an octave up. Otherwise, everything else is good. 9

Effort: Not only good effort, but good results as well. 10.

If you get a chance, check out some of my music as well. Reviews (even bad ones) are appreciated.

Bosa responds:

Thanks for the advice, friend. I'll be sure to check some of your music as well.

Glad to see you got rid of the dissonance.

XD.

Anyway, great melody, but it'll be stuck in my head for a really long time now, for two reasons:
1. Really good, as I stated before
and
2. Very repetitive.

In your next piece, you might want to introduce some background melodies or themes to add to the diversity. Don't let them take over the main theme, all you have to do is sprinkle them here and there.

WritersBlock responds:

Thanks. Sorry I took so long to get round to responding to your review. I'm just going through all my old stuff, responding to all reviews, listening to my progress. I'm thinking this one might be worth the time to redo.
Cheers.

Ok.

This is quite good for a beginner.

And Don't mind b0z0. He's just a troll, he gives bad reviews to everyone (and hhe has no talent whatsoever at making music XP). Just ignoore him and report him. Hopefully he'll be banned, but apparently the ng staff doesn't care.

Amazing.

Just a few suggestions:

Theory. It'll help you a lot. That's actaully not a symphony. That's not anything. A symphony is like 40 minutes long, and consists of 4 movements, generally. A Sonata-Allegro, another Sonata-Allegro or Theme and Variations, A Dance, Then a third Sonata-allegro or Rondo.

Still amazing. Not really classical. But amazing.

Definitely learn to read notes. That'll help you develop your style even further.

Again, amazing job. 10s across the board.

I find it hard to be nice to you. I'm jealous as ****.

Ok, but not great.

There are some half-note dissonances in there that bring the entire song down, move them together or farther apart so they don't clash. That's why I downgraded clarity. As for originality, I can hear that those are just a bunch of arpeggios. But they're pretty arpeggios, so you only get downgraded by half, in my opinion. Nice job.

Pretty Great

Normally the orchestra is supposed to overtake the solo instrument, but I see you did have an orchestra. It's just the program, I guess. Really, there's no fair way to grade originality or effort. I know how hard it is to write a decent classical piece, and to this point, all my stuff comes out lame. The clarity was downgraded since the bass on the piano muddied up the sound up a lot. Chords get blurred when they're on the far left. Very good.

Thanks.
